Travel IMCU Registered Nurse - $2,825 per week

Job Summary

IMCU (Intermediate Care Unit) Nurse in a facility providing post-operative cardiac surgery care. This position involves caring for patients who have recently undergone complex cardiac procedures, including coronary artery bypass grafts and valve repairs, as they transfer from intensive care. The role prepares patients for discharge to home or rehabilitation facilities as early as postoperative day four, while also managing thoracic surgery and cardiology patients.

Responsibilities

Qualifications

• 2 years of experience
• Valid MA license
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from the AHA (American Heart Association)
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification from the AHA
• EPIC electronic health record experience
• Must be separated from the facility's organization for at least 6 months
• Must be non-local to be considered

Schedule

• 12-hour rotating shifts
• Minimum of 36 hours per week
• Start date: 09/28/2026
• End date: 12/26/2026

Unit Details

• Nurse-to-patient ratios: approximately 3:1 to 4:1 during the day and 4:1 to 5:1 overnight
• Support staff includes PCTs and unit clerks working across shifts
