Travel IMCU Registered Nurse - $2,725 per week

About the role

Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position providing specialized patient care in a fast‑paced, acute care environment focused on adult diagnoses. The role includes delivering high‑quality, patient‑centered care with scope covering telemetry, neuro stepdown, and various cardiac and postoperative procedures. Start date: 10/26/2026; Duration: 13 weeks; Employment type: Travel.

Responsibilities

• Deliver care to adult patients with complex diagnoses
• Interpret cardiac rhythms
• Operate electronic fetal heart monitor and other specialized equipment
• Perform IV therapy and medication management
• Handle advanced airway management
• Participate in emergency response protocols

Requirements

• Valid active Illinois RN license
• BLS and NIHSS certifications
• Minimum 1 year of experience in telemetry, neuro stepdown, or similar units
• Experience in assessment and management of dysrhythmias, post‑cardiac procedures, ventilator care, and advanced line management
• Proficiency in rapid response team activation

Qualifications

• ACLS certification (preferred)
• Experience with Cerner charting system (preferred)
• Level I trauma patient experience (preferred)
• Hospital teaching environment experience (preferred)

Schedule

• 12‑hour day shifts (06:45 – 19:15)
• Minimum 48 hours per week
• Every other weekend required
