Travel IMCU Registered Nurse - $2,275 per week
About the role
This Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) Registered Nurse (RN) position is located at a healthcare facility in Lynchburg, Virginia. The role involves caring for a diverse patient population including medical-surgical, telemetry, cardiac, neuro, and stroke patients. The assignment starts on 09/21/2026 and ends on 12/19/2026, with orientation occurring every other Monday. The ideal candidate will have prior charge nursing experience, active VA or Compact license, and at least 2 years of relevant RN experience.
Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care for a mix of med-surg, telemetry, cardiac, neuro, and CVA patients in the IMCU
- Work 12-hour day shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Assume charge responsibility as needed (training and pay differential provided)
- Participate in weekend coverage (generally two or three weekends per month, with flexibility on weekend-only requests)
Requirements
- Active VA or Compact RN license
- Minimum 2 years of relevant RN experience
- Prior travel experience required for all Central positions
- Valid work history with at least 2 years of experience
- Charge nurse experience preferred
- Cerner EMR experience preferred
- Experience with IMCU patient acuity levels

Pay
Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
Schedule
12-hour day shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week. Orientation occurs every other Monday unless otherwise posted. RTO is limited. Client can cancel assignments up to 36 hours prior due to census fluctuations.
