About the role

Registered Nurse (RN) specializing in Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU) in Rockford, Illinois. This position involves providing direct patient care for cardiac and post-cardiac procedure patients within a specialized unit. The RN will manage patients with conditions such as new BiPAP, diabetic ketoacidosis, alcohol withdrawal symptoms, and those requiring titrating drips, within a pod of eight patients. The role requires flexibility with a rotating shift schedule, including every third weekend and rotating holidays.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in an Intermediate Care Unit (IMCU).
• Manage a pod of eight patients, including complex cardiac cases, patients on titrating drips, and those with respiratory and metabolic emergencies.

Requirements

• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications.
• Current licensure as a registered nurse.
• Work authorization for the location.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cardiac patients, open heart procedures, TAVR, Watchman device, and post-procedure care.

Pay

Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule
