Responsibilities

Intermediate Care Unit RNs (IMCU RNs) provide care for patients with serious conditions such as diabetes, electrolyte imbalances, renal and liver failure, gastrointestinal bleeds, blood disorders, cancer, sepsis, respiratory distress, or multi-system organ failure.

• Assessing patient needs through data collection like temperature, blood pressure, and pain levels
• Performing physician-prescribed treatments and effectively communicating with patients, families, and physicians, advocating for the patient
• Preparing equipment and assisting physicians during examinations and treatments

Qualifications and Skills

• Strong assessment, communication, and clinical skills
• Ability to handle critically ill patients
• Collaborate effectively with healthcare teams
