About the role

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN for an Intermediate Care (PCU/Step-down) assignment in Charleston, West Virginia. The assignment begins 11/12/2026, lasts 13 weeks, with 36 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients who require close monitoring but are not unstable enough for ICU care.
• Utilize computer equipment to monitor cardiac and other vital signs, detect changes, and enable intervention for life‑threatening or emergency situations.
• Administer and titrate complex medications based on patient vital signs.
• Provide progressive care for patients in cardiac step‑down, medical step‑down, neuro step‑down, surgical step‑down, or ER holding units.

Requirements

• Active RN license.
• Degree from an accredited nursing program.
• BLS and ACLS certifications.
• Minimum eighteen months of recent experience in an acute care PCU/step‑down setting.
• Additional requirements may be specified by the client facility.
