Travel ICU Registered Nurse - $2,185 per week
Job Summary
The ICU (Intensive Care Unit) nursing position is located in a 25-bed ICU unit within a hospital in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. The role involves providing specialized critical care to a diverse patient population, utilizing advanced equipment and technology, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. This assignment offers an opportunity to work in a level 2 trauma center with a comprehensive stroke center designation.
Job Details
- Location: Portsmouth, New Hampshire
- Schedule: Night shifts, 12 hours per shift, minimum of 36 hours per week
- Start Date: 07/20/2026
Required Qualifications
- Valid ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support) certifications
- Three years of ICU experience
- Strong telemetry skills
- Experience titrating vasoactive and inotropic medications
- Chest tube experience
- Past ICU experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Open heart experience
- Temporary pacing
- Swan-Ganz catheter experience
- Procedures such as intubation, central line, and arterial line placement
Additional Information
- The unit is equipped with GE monitors, Hamilton bipaps and hi-flows, Puritan ventilators, and Hemospheres.
- Documentation is maintained in Meditech Expanse.
- The staff includes around-the-clock mid-levels, trauma surgeons, and respiratory therapists.
- The schedule includes rotating floating, with the first floating rotation assigned to travelers.
- No unit secretaries or PCTs; bedside shift reports are conducted at each shift change with updated MyCare boards.
- The position involves potential float rotation on a rotation basis.
