Travel ICU Registered Nurse - $2,160 per week

Job Summary

Intensive Care Unit (ICU) nursing position in a facility located in Puyallup, Washington. This role involves providing specialized critical care to patients with complex medical conditions across various units, including trauma, medical‑surgical, neuro, and rehab. The ICU nurse will manage acuity levels, utilize advanced clinical skills, and support patient stability in a fast‑paced environment.

Schedule

Days shift, 12‑hour shifts, minimum of 36 hours per week. Start Date: 10/19/2026. Duration: 15 weeks.

Requirements

• Valid ICU license
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certification
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
• NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) certification
• 2 years of ICU experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Ventilator management
• Invasive line management
• Chest tubes, lumbar drains, tracheostomies
• IV medication titration (including Amiodarone, Cardizem, nitro, dopamine, dobutamine, insulin, heparin, Cardene)

Additional Information

• Patient population includes respiratory failure, GI bleeds, sepsis, post‑operative and trauma patients; high‑acuity care experience essential
• Support staff includes techs, hospitalists, and intensivists available 24/7
• EMR system: EPIC; equipment: Alaris IV pumps and Pyxis medication dispensing
• Orientation: two days of hospital training and one day with the assigned unit
• RN will transport patients hospital‑wide, including to radiology and other diagnostic units, primarily serving as an ACLS‑certified transport nurse during night shifts
• Effective communication and patient education skills required; flexibility to float within scope of practice as needed

Pay

Pay package is based on 12‑hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax‑free stipend amount to be determined.
