Travel ICU Registered Nurse - $1,905 per week

About the role

Travel nursing position for a Registered Nurse (RN) in the ICU – Intensive Care Unit in Weirton, West Virginia. Contract duration is 13 weeks with 36 hours per week on a night shift schedule (12 hours, 3x per week).

Responsibilities

• Conduct nursing assessments for all patients within 8 hours of admission to establish an individualized plan of care.
• Identify educational needs and goals in collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and ensure quality outcomes through the nursing process (assess, plan, implement, evaluate).
• Initiate discharge planning and patient teaching from the day of admission.
• Provide timely updates on patient conditions to support continuity of care.
• Direct, train, and supervise ancillary nursing personnel; delegate tasks accordingly.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards related to patient handling, infectious disease control, and environmental safety.
• Engage in professional development through continuing education and active self-study.

Requirements

• BLS Certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS certification required prior to first shift for specific units.
• Minimum of two (2) years of bedside clinical experience preferred.
