About the role
This role involves leading nursing operations to ensure quality patient care, safety, and hospital efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Supervise nursing staff
- Manage patient flow during admissions, transfers, and discharges
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies and healthcare regulations
- Respond to emergencies and coordinate crisis management
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care
- Resolve conflicts among staff and between departments
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
- Oversee emergency preparedness and disaster response planning
Requirements
- Minimum one year of recent RN House Supervisor experience
- Valid RN license
- Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Preferred Qualifications
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) or ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
- NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale)
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
Skills
- Critical thinking and problem-solving
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems
- Physical ability to perform job duties, including lifting and standing for extended periods
