American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist with at least 1 year of home health experience for a 13-week travel contract serving the Big Island of Hawai'i.
Details
- Serving a primarily geriatric patient population across the island of Hawai'i
- Patient population includes individuals with orthopedic, neurological, cardiac, pulmonary, and cognitive conditions
- Clinical focus includes post-op care (total hip, total knee, spinal surgery), stroke rehabilitation, Parkinson's disease, dementia, COPD, CHF, and peripheral vascular disease
Requirements
Minimum 1 year of home health physical therapy experience required
Current BLS certification (AHA) required
Active Hawaii PT license required if applicable
Proficiency in OASIS assessments and Medicare start-of-care processes required
Experience with geriatric, neurological, and orthopedic patient populations required
Skills
Includes evaluation, plan of care development, gait training, adaptive/assistive device use, pain assessment, strength testing, vital signs monitoring, and patient/family education
Benefits

Uses Homecare Homebase (HCHB) for documentation
Occasional floating to cover Kauai, Maui, and/or Oahu may be required; all float-related expenses are covered
