About the role
TNAA TotalMed Allied is seeking a travel Occupational Therapist for a 13-week assignment in Hood River, Oregon. This full-time position requires 40 hours per week on an 8-hour day shift.
Responsibilities
- Review patients' medical history, ask questions, and observe tasks.
- Evaluate a patient's condition and needs.
- Develop a treatment plan identifying specific goals and activities.
- Help people with various disabilities perform different tasks.
- Evaluate a patient's home or workplace and recommend improvements based on health needs.
- Educate a patient's family and employer on accommodations and care.
- Recommend and instruct patients on the use of special equipment.
- Assess and record patient activities and progress for evaluations, billing, and reporting.
- Provide timely and accurate documentation following state and/or insurance guidelines.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 months of experience; new graduates are encouraged to apply.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- NBCOT-OTR National Certification with state-specific licensing.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lean, or stoop for long periods without difficulty.
- Sound knowledge of anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
- Additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
