About the role

American Traveler is seeking a travel Home Health Occupational Therapist for a 13-week assignment in the Sacramento/Folsom and Woodland/Yolo County areas of California.

The assignment is in a home health care setting, serving the northeastern Sacramento into Folsom area and the Woodland/Yolo County service area, with a day shift, Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM–5:00 PM (8-hour shifts) and an average of four visits per day.

Responsibilities

Conduct occupational therapy evaluations and revisit sessions for home health patients across the assigned coverage area.

Requirements

  • Active CA OT license required
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a healthcare setting
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Active NPI number required
  • Valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance required
  • 2 professional references required: one supervisor from within the last 12 months worked, and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years worked
  • Copy of driver's license required for consideration

Qualifications

COTA candidates with home health experience will be considered if no OT applicants are available.

Candidates must not have been directly employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) by any CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity facility within the past year; candidates previously employed PRN through outside firms will be considered.

Local candidates are accepted for this position.

Pay

Pay package is based on 8 hour shifts and 40 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.

Schedule

40 hours per week, 8 hours per day, Monday to Friday, with a float requirement.
