Travel General Laborer

About the role

SPAR is growing its overnight construction team and is seeking full-time laborers who are hardworking and reliable. The ideal candidate must be willing to travel for extended periods and work nights from 9 PM to 6 AM.

Responsibilities

• Very physical construction work
• Work overnights remodeling big box retail stores
• Remove and replace damaged steel racking including cantilever towers
• Move product from old to new pallet racking
• Build and assemble retail store shelving fixtures
• Update signage, shelf conditions, and schematics
• Engage in considerable physical activity, capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand for a minimum of 8 hours and work overnights 9 PM - 6 AM
• Must be able to take direction regarding tagging, rotating, and placing products on shelves
• Comfortable climbing ladders and working 20 feet off the ground as needed
• Able to repeatedly lift 50 lbs.
• Experience in using basic hand and power tools (candidates must provide their own hardhat, gloves, utility knife, and power tools)
• Strong teamwork and communication skills
• Knowledge/ability to use basic tools necessary for the job
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Reliable transportation, valid driver's license, personal cell phone, and valid email address
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Appropriate work footwear to be worn on the jobsite
