Travel Erection Worker

About the role

To hook up concrete members to a crane so that the erection lead and rigger have members readily available for setting.

Responsibilities

• Follow all Safety and Quality rules and processes to ensure a safe working environment and the production of high-quality products.
• Check fuel and lubricant levels of flatbed truck.
• Hook crane chokers to lifting loops or bolts on swivels depending on members.
• Load and unload shipping 4x4 boards on and off trailers.
• Direct truck drivers to drop-off locations.
• Unload various erection materials off trailers and store in the proper location.
• Send tools and equipment up to the erection crew when needed by hooking to the crane.
• Sweep foundation before panels are set.
• Mix grout in a wheelbarrow.
• Build grout frame boxes and pour grout around set columns.
• Help relocate crane by raising balance legs, moving wood platforms to a new location, directing the crane, and repositioning legs until the crane is level.
• Assist other crew members with ground work, and help assemble and disassemble the crane.
• Perform miscellaneous duties as directed by the Supervisor.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
• Previous experience in finishing concrete is required.
