Travel ER RN - $1,869 per week

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN specializing in the Emergency Department (ED) for a travel nursing assignment in Chattanooga, Tennessee. The position is for an Emergency Room RN with an immediate opening, requiring 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse team of caregivers to appropriately evaluate, triage and implement care using correct procedures and physician instructions.
• Perform minor medical operations.
• Advise patients and family on illnesses or injuries.
• Plan long‑term care needs.
• Document medical history.
• Check for patient allergies.
• Obtain patient vital signs.
• Monitor patients’ emotional and physical well‑being.
• Provide basic bedside care.
• Clean and bandage wounds.
• Provide IV therapy.
• Maintain supplies and medical equipment.
• Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies.
• Stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Bend, lean and stoop without difficulty.
• Easily lift 20 pounds; moving or lifting patients may require up to 50 pounds.
• Possess good stress‑coping skills.
• Relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.

Requirements

• 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience.
• ACLS certification.
• BLS certification.
• PALS certification.
• TNCC certification.
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning the assignment.
