About the Role
Assist in electrophysiology studies, cardiac ablations, and device implantations within the EP lab. Support patient care, equipment operation, and procedural interventions while collaborating with the healthcare team.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients for electrophysiology procedures, including cardiac ablations and device implantations.
- Operate and troubleshoot EP lab equipment, ensuring proper functionality.
- Monitor patient responses during procedures and respond to changes in condition.
- Support cardiac mapping and interventions under physician direction.
- Perform nursing assessments, administer medications, and monitor cardiac rhythms.
- Educate patients and families on procedures and post-care instructions.
- Maintain sterile techniques and assist with equipment setup.
- Collaborate with the care team to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Provide post-procedure care and monitor for complications.
- Ensure compliance with safety and infection control protocols.
- Conduct patient assessments and assist physicians during procedures.
- Manage lab equipment and monitor patient vital signs.
- Support safe, efficient procedures and adhere to established protocols.
Requirements
- At least one year of recent EP Lab Tech experience.
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
- ARRT, RCES, or RCIS certification.
- Preferred additional licenses: radiologic technologist, PALS, or ENPC.
