Overview
Endoscopy Tech (GI Lab Tech) travel assignment in Rochester, NY. Start date: 08/03/2026 for a 13-week contract. 8-hour shifts. Weekly pay range: $1,153–$1,166 per week. There are no guaranteed hours for this assignment. The role supports endoscopy and GI lab procedures in an acute care setting. No state licensure is required to start; travel experience is required, and a High-Level Disinfection (HLD) certification is highly encouraged.
Responsibilities
- Apply aseptic technique and monitor sterile/High-Level Disinfectant integrity of equipment during procedures; assist with procedures as needed
- Disassemble, inspect, and identify defective or malfunctioning parts; perform preventive maintenance on supplies and equipment
- Complete all pre-cleaning, high-level disinfection, leak testing, and reprocessing of endoscopes and accessories per regulatory standards; follow storage and handling protocols
- Determine appropriate High-Level Disinfection methods per material and manufacturer instructions; check and calibrate equipment according to protocol
- Take on ambulatory technician duties as assigned, including obtaining and documenting vital signs and transporting patients when required
- Collaborate with the GI team to support procedures and ensure patient safety and workflow efficiency

- Minimum 2 years of endoscopy/GI lab experience; travel experience required
