Job description
The Registered Nurse (RN) will assess, implement, and evaluate care for assigned patients under the guidance of a licensed physician. The RN is expected to possess a strong knowledge base in the principles, theories, and current methods of nursing practice. Utilizing the nursing process, the RN will collaborate with patients, their families, and the healthcare team to individualize patient care plans. The RN will also oversee nursing support staff, ensuring that patient care meets established standards of practice and complies with administrative policies and procedures.
Schedule
Schedule AM Shift: 08:00 – 16:30, 5 × 8 hr shifts per week. This is a 13-week contract position.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient needs and collaborate on care plans.
- Implement and evaluate nursing care for assigned patients.
- Coordinate with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Direct nursing support staff in providing care.
- Ensure compliance with nursing standards and policies.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing preferred.
- 1 year of experience in a clinical specialty preferred.
- PA Registered Nurse License required.
- Multi State Compact RN License required.
- Basic Life Support certification required.
