About the role

This is a 26-week travel contract position in the Emergency Department (ER) of a Level 1 Trauma Center in Burlington, Massachusetts. The role involves providing critical care in a state-of-the-art facility, with a focus on triage, trauma, and emergency patient management. The new Emergency Department features 44 beds, over 45,000 square feet of space, and modern amenities including private treatment rooms and an imaging suite. Complete computerized charting via EPIC is utilized for patient assessment and medication documentation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide care to patients with medical emergencies, accidents, and trauma cases
  • Perform triage and manage emergency patient care in a Level 1 Trauma Center

Requirements

  • Minimum of 6 years of nursing experience
  • Level 1 trauma experience required
  • Must be triage trained
  • Current assignment or very recent triage experience required
  • Epic experience required
  • BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) certifications issued by the American Heart Association (AHA)
  • Massachusetts (MA) nursing license required
  • BILH coversheet required at time of submission
  • Must have separated from the organization for at least 6 months if previously employed there (for permanent, per diem, or contract roles)

Schedule

  • 12-hour night shifts
  • Minimum of 36 hours per week
  • Every other weekend
  • Two holiday shifts
