Job Summary

The Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) position in Brunswick, Maine involves providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced emergency department environment, supporting clinical operations, and collaborating with healthcare team members.

Job Details

• Schedule: Days shift, 12-hour shift hours, minimum of 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license
• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification or Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)
• National Institute of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification
• 4-5 years of experience as an RN in emergency care

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with charge nurse responsibilities
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems such as Epic

Additional Information

• Position involves working in a 23-bed emergency department with patient ratios typically between 4 to 6
• Scrub attire consists of standard scrubs, and no specific dress code is mandated
• The role may require float to other units as needed
