About the role

Travel RN position in the Emergency Department at a healthcare facility in Des Moines, Iowa. Assignment begins 10/19/2026, runs for 13 weeks, 36 hours per week on 12‑hour night shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency care for patients with illness or trauma.
• Recognize and treat life‑threatening conditions.
• Assess, intervene, and stabilize trauma and illnesses.
• Apply general and specific health knowledge to urgent cases.
• Perform triage to prioritize patient needs.
• Conduct quick, accurate physical and mental health assessments.

Requirements

• Active RN license.
• Degree from an accredited nursing program.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS & TNCC may be required.
• At least 18 months of recent acute care ER experience.
• Any additional facility‑specific requirements.

Skills

• Emergency patient assessment and triage.
• Rapid intervention and stabilization of trauma.
• Knowledge of general and specific emergency health issues.
• Ability to evaluate physical and mental health presentations.
• Proficiency with BLS, ACLS, PALS, TNCC protocols.

Pay
