About the Role
Emergency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN) position available in an inpatient emergency department setting. The role involves providing specialized care for patients of all ages who present with various trauma and medical emergencies. ED RNs must be capable of quick assessment and prioritization of injuries and health conditions to deliver effective, lifesaving interventions.
Schedule
- 12-hour night shifts: 6:45 PM to 7:15 AM
- Minimum of 36 hours per week
Responsibilities
- Assess and prioritize patient needs efficiently in a fast-paced emergency department
- Provide care for patients with a variety of trauma and medical conditions
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and hospital staff
- Float rotation may be required
Requirements
- ASN (Associate of Science in Nursing) degree
- NJ State Professional Registered Nurse license or multi-state compact license
- BLS (American Heart Association)
- ACLS
- Telemetry certification
- PALS
- NIHSS
- Minimum of 18 months of nursing experience working in an ED environment, with experience within the past six months
- Demonstrated clinical performance and practice
- Effective communication skills
