Job Description
Deliver emergency nursing care for trauma, cardiac, stroke, neurological, pediatric, respiratory, and geriatric patients.
Perform rapid assessments, prioritize care, and respond to critical emergencies.
Draw labs, administer medications, perform nebulizer treatments, and collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.
Utilize Epic EMR and Pyxis medication dispensing system.
Float to nearby facilities within your skill set when needed.
Requirements
- Active Wisconsin RN License
- BLS (AHA or ARC)
- ACLS (AHA or ARC)
- PALS (AHA or ARC)
- TNCC
- Minimum 2 years of Emergency Department experience
- 3–6 months of prior travel nursing experience required
- Level II Trauma Center experience required
- Recent Epic experience required

This assignment is ideal for experienced ER travel nurses who thrive in high-acuity environments and are confident working independently.
Assignment Highlights
- 18-bed, Level II Trauma Center
- Stroke-certified Emergency Department
- Nurse-to-patient ratio: 1:3–4
- Every other weekend and every other holiday
- On-call requirement: 12 hours every 6 weeks (30-minute response time)
- Any scrub color permitted
- 36 hours of low census eligibility with call-back pay if activated
