Travel Emergency Room RN - $2,233 per week

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN for the Emergency Department in Merrill, Wisconsin. The assignment is 13 weeks, 36 hours per week, 12‑hour night shifts, travel employment type. TotalMed RN is a Top Ten travel nursing and healthcare staffing agency that places clinicians nationwide, focusing on highly‑skilled staff to improve patient experience. This is an immediate opening for an ER travel nurse.

Responsibilities

• Work with a diverse team of caregivers to appropriately evaluate, triage, and implement care using correct procedures and physician instructions.
• Perform minor medical operations.
• Advise patients and family on illnesses or injuries.
• Plan long‑term care needs.
• Document medical history and check for allergies.
• Obtain patient vital signs.
• Monitor patients’ emotional and physical well‑being.
• Provide basic bedside care.
• Clean and bandage wounds.
• Provide IV therapy.
• Maintain supplies and medical equipment.
• Report suspected abuse to appropriate agencies.
• Stand and walk for long periods; bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty.
• Easily lift 20 pounds; moving or lifting patients may require up to 50 pounds.
• Cope with stress in a fast‑paced environment and relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.

Requirements

• 1‑2 years recent acute care experience.
• Current ACLS, BLS, PALS, and TNCC certifications.
• Additional certifications may be required before assignment.
