About the role

Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN) position in Carlsbad, NM. This full-time travel assignment involves providing emergency care in a Level 3 Trauma Emergency Department. The RN will utilize critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership skills to deliver safe and effective patient care in a fast-paced environment.

Schedule

• Evening shifts, 1pm-1am
• 36 hours per week (minimum)
• 12-hour shifts
• Floating to other units may be required
• RTO (Return To Office) blackout dates in effect for summer and winter

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care
• Conduct thorough patient assessments
• Administer medications and monitor side effects
• Maintain safety standards and infection control
• Patient ratio of 4:1
• Use MedHost (EDIS) EMR system

Requirements

• Valid RN license
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support)
• ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency nursing (preferred)
• Fingerprints or background checks required
• Call-out at least 2 hours prior to shift start is mandatory

Pay

Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
