Required Qualifications
- Valid license as an Registered Nurse (RN)
- BLS (Basic Life Support)
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
- TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course)
- ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course)
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification
Experience Requirement
0 years minimum experience required in emergency medicine or related fields.
Unit Information
- The ER unit has 40+ beds with a staffing of over 120 health care professionals, including RN, Advanced Paramedic, and other ancillary staff.
- The department is equipped with cardiac monitors, EKGs, US, Belmont Rapid Infuser, IO Drills, Lifepak, etc.
- Responsibilities include performing IV starts, phlebotomy, cardiac monitoring and interpretation, and delivering responsive patient care under pressure.
- Dress Code: RN Gray scrub top with black or gray scrub bottoms.
Additional Information
- The unit has a high patient volume with a patient-to-staff ratio of 4:1, and requires staff to be adaptable and outgoing, especially under pressure.
