Travel RN assignment at the Blue Hills freestanding emergency department (FSED) in Roanoke, VA, part of a 354‑bed community hospital with Level III trauma center designation and a teaching hospital. The FSED offers eight private treatment rooms and advanced diagnostic capabilities. Roanoke lies in Virginia’s Blue Ridge region, a short drive from Salem, VA, and is known for the Roanoke Star on Mill Mountain, scenic hiking trails, and vibrant local culture. Salem (population ~25k) is the Roanoke County seat, featuring a charming downtown with historical elements, a diverse food & drink scene, and rich arts & cultural amenities.
Requirements
- Active RN license in Virginia or a compact state
- At least 1 year of recent emergency department experience
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include Meditech ENPC certification and experience with Meditech electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
Skills
Strong triage and acute care skills are recommended.

Pay
$1,783.00 – $1,874.00 per week (based on 12‑hour shifts, 36 hours per week; tax‑free stipend amount to be determined).
Schedule
