About the Role

Travel Emergency Room RN job in Salem, VA, at a 506-bed hospital with a Level II Trauma Center and a 26-bed emergency department. The facility serves as a major referral center for Southwest Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Provide emergency nursing care in a Level II Trauma Center emergency department
• Work 12-hour day shifts as part of a 36-hour work week
• Utilize trauma care skills and Meditech electronic medical record (EMR) systems
• Deliver acute care to patients in a fast-paced emergency room setting

Required Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Virginia or a compact state
• 2 years of recent emergency room experience
• 2 prior travel assignments in emergency room nursing
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, TNCC, PALS, and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI)
• Social Security Number and date of birth required for submission
• Work history should not show more than 90 days of gap in the last year
• CPI Blue Card must be obtained within 30 days of start if not yet certified

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Meditech electronic medical record (EMR) systems
• Trauma care skills

Pay

• Pay rate: $1,781.00 – $1,873.00 per week
• Based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation)
• Tax-free stipend amount to be determined
