Travel Echocardiography Technologist - $2,506 per week

Key Responsibilities

• Pre-Procedure Preparation
• Explain the echocardiogram procedure to the patient
• Verify patient identity and obtain informed consent
• Prepare and check the echocardiogram machine and related equipment
• Position the patient appropriately for the procedure
• Operate ultrasound equipment to obtain high-quality images of the heart
• Adjust settings on the equipment for optimal image quality
• Perform specialized techniques such as doppler imaging and color flow mapping
• Maintain patient safety and comfort during the procedure
• Review images captured during the echocardiogram for quality and completeness
• Assist the patient after the procedure
• Ensure equipment and patient area are cleaned according to infection control protocols
• Provide post-procedure instructions to the patient
• Ensure images and diagnostic reports are stored correctly and accessible
• Complete and document patient notes
• Collaborate with medical team to interpret echocardiogram results
• Communicate findings to physicians during the echocardiogram review process
• Stay up-to-date with advancements in echocardiography techniques and obtain certifications
• Aid in the training and mentorship of new technologists

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of an accredited echocardiography program
• Current certification in echocardiography from a recognized organization
• Experience in performing echocardiograms
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of infection control and sterilization procedures

Pay
