Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, develop, and direct the overall functions of the Nursing Services Department.
- Ensure the highest degree of quality care is provided to the residents at all times.
- Develop preliminary and comprehensive assessments and written care plans for each resident.
- Prepare and plan the Nursing Services Department’s budget for equipment, supplies, and labor.
- Interview and screen residents for admission to the facility.
- Ensure proper record keeping by physicians and report problem areas to the Director of Nursing Services.
- Implement corrective actions based on reported problem areas.
- Provide direct nursing care as necessary.
Qualifications
- Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing and currently licensed by the State.
- BSN preferred.
- Must show ability to speak, read, and write in English, in a legible and understandable manner.
- Knowledgeable of general, rehabilitative, and restorative nursing and medical practices and procedures and laws, regulations, and guidelines governing long-term care.
- Positive attitude toward the elderly.
- Previous experience in a hospital, long-term care facility, or other health care facility, with three years Long Term Care experience being ideal.
Pay
$150,000 - $165,000 /yr
