About the Role

This is a 13-week travel contract position for a Cardiac Surgery Surgical Technologist. The role involves scrub and circulate duties within the operating room, particularly in cardiac procedures, with occasional floating to other surgical services.

Schedule

Day shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 07:00 to 19:00. On-call rotations may be required to cover weekend surgery needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist in cardiac surgery procedures including CABGs, Aortic and Mitral valve repairs/replacements, heart transplants, dissections, and LVAD placements.
• Scrub and circulate in the operating room, ensuring all surgical instruments and equipment are ready and sterile.
• Float to other surgical services such as General, Urology, and ENT as necessary, typically averaging once per week.
• Participate in on-call rotations to cover weekend surgery requirements.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist.
• Cardiac surgery experience required, including specific procedures such as CABGs and valve repairs.
• Vascular and Thoracic surgery experience is preferred.
• Active PA or compact state license at the time of submission.
• Ability to scrub and circulate in cardiac surgeries.
