Travel CVOR RN - $2,543 per week

About the role

TotalMed RN is seeking a travel nurse RN CVOR for a travel nursing job in Knoxville, Tennessee. The position is for a Cardiovascular Operating Room RN with an immediate start date of November 2, 2026, for a 13‑week assignment, working 40 hours per week on 10‑hour day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan and evaluate the nursing care needs of the patient before, during and after a surgical procedure.
• Participate in the care of patients receiving conscious sedation.
• Administer prescribed medications, apply dressings, monitor vital signs.
• Assist physician during procedures.
• Maintain aseptic techniques and actively monitor situations which could lead to breaches in aseptic technique.
• Coordinate the operating room with respect to sterility, cleanliness, availability of functioning equipment and supplies.
• Ensure the proper handling of specimens.
• Stand and walk for long periods of time, as well as bend, lean and stoop without difficulty.
• Easily lift 20 pounds; moving or lifting patients may require lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Possess good stress‑coping skills and be able to relate to people of all ages and backgrounds.

Requirements

• Current ACLS and BLS certification.
• 1‑2 years of recent acute care experience (CVOR experience preferred).
• Additional certifications may be required before beginning the assignment.

Schedule

• Start date: November 2, 2026.
• Duration: 13 weeks.
• Shift: 10‑hour day shifts.
• Hours per week: 40.
