About the role
The operating room registered nurse (RN) specializing in open heart procedures is being sought for a facility located in Wenatchee, Washington. This position involves providing high-quality patient care in a Cardiac Operating Room, with responsibilities that include patient assessments, medication administration, and collaborative care. The RN will work scheduled shifts on days, with rotating call duties as required, supporting the delivery of specialized surgical care.
Schedule
- Days shift
- 3, 12-hour shifts per week
- Minimum of 36 hours per week
- Rotating call duties as required
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and deliver high-quality, compassionate care utilizing the nursing process and standards of practice
- Develop and reassess patient care plans
- Administer medications and complete nursing procedures
- Evaluate discharge needs
- Document care and assessments accurately
- Teach patients and families
- Maintain a safe environment
- Actively participate in performance evaluations
- Collaborate with the healthcare team
- Float as a sitter and in rotation
- Take call as required
Requirements
- Active Washington State or Compact RN licensure
- Cardiac Operating Room (OR OH) experience
- General Operating Room experience in addition to Cardiac experience
- Active BLS and ACLS certifications
- Adherence to facility policies and standards
- Function within the Washington Nurse Practice Act and unit-specific guidelines

Pay
Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
