Travel CVOR Open Heart Registered Nurse - $2,745 per week

Operating Room Open Heart (OR OH) registered nurse position in Newark, NJ. This role involves circulating on cardiac open heart cases, including coronary bypass graft surgeries, heart valves, and vascular procedures. The nurse will be responsible for assisting with general, vascular, and cardiac surgical cases, ensuring patient safety and adherence to clinical protocols.

Responsibilities

• Circulate on cardiac open heart cases (CABG, heart valves, MVR, AVR)
• Assist with general, vascular, and cardiac surgical cases
• Ensure patient safety and adherence to clinical protocols

Requirements

• Valid nursing license
• Two years of recent experience in operating room settings with extensive experience in cardiac open heart cases
• Proficient in Epic electronic medical record system
• Experienced in general OR and vascular cases
• Able to circulate on heart cases, specifically CABG, heart valves, MVR, and AVR valves

Qualifications

• Prior experience with oncall duties (minimum one weekend per month, 24‑hour oncall shifts, night call 8‑hour shifts)
• Availability for a minimum of one or two nights per week, including weekends, with 24‑hour oncall shifts and night call responsibilities
• Prepared to participate in oncall rotations as specified
