Travel CVICU Registered Nurse - $2,523 per week
About the role
The CVICU Registered Nurse will provide specialized nursing care for patients recovering from cardiac surgery, including fresh heart cases. This role involves managing complex patient needs in a high-acuity environment, ensuring safety, and delivering optimal care alongside an interdisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Care for and monitor patients post-open heart surgery, including CABG, MVR, AVR, and TAVR.
- Utilize advanced equipment such as Impella, IABP, and CRRT using Prismax.
- Manage ventilated patients, chest tubes, and IV drips.
- Perform assessments, administer medications, and document patient care.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of current CVICU experience; SICU experience may be considered with training.
- Active NJ or Compact RN License.
- Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
- Experience with arterial lines, central lines, and management of ventilated patients.
