Travel CVICU Registered Nurse - $2,523 per week

About the role

We are seeking a skilled CVICU Registered Nurse to provide specialized care to patients with cardiac conditions. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in critical care nursing and experience handling post-operative cardiac patients.

Responsibilities

• Manage post-operative care of fresh heart patients, including CABG, MVR, AVR, and TAVR cases.
• Monitor and interpret vital signs and changes in patient conditions.
• Administer medications and intravenous therapies as prescribed.
• Utilize advanced monitoring equipment and techniques.
• Auxiliary with invasive procedures such as chest tube insertions and removal.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to formulate and implement care plans.
• Provide patient and family education regarding care and recovery processes.

Requirements

• Active NJ RN License or Compact License.
• 2 years of current CVICU experience required; SICU experience may be considered with initial training in CVICU.
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS are required.
• Experience with Impella, IABP, and CRRT using Prismax preferred.

Skills

• Proficient in managing arterial lines, central lines, chest tubes, and ventilator settings.

Pay

The Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
