About the role
Operate computed tomography (CT) scanners to produce diagnostic cross-sectional images, prepare and position patients, ensure imaging protocols are followed, and collaborate with radiologists for accurate diagnosis. Maintain equipment, document procedures, and follow safety standards to minimize radiation exposure. Adapt to various CT equipment and protocols across healthcare settings.
Responsibilities
- Performing high-quality imaging for diagnostic purposes
- Preparing and explaining procedures to patients
- Setting technical parameters and troubleshooting equipment
- Ensuring safety and compliance with radiation standards
- Documenting patient and procedural information accurately
- Collaborating with healthcare professionals to deliver timely services
Qualifications and Skills
- One year of recent CT Technologist experience
- Valid Radiology license and current BLS certification
- Preferred ARRT Certification
- Strong critical thinking, interpersonal, technical, and motor skills
- Ability to communicate effectively, work under pressure, and handle physical demands
