Travel CT Technologist - $3,647 per week
About the role
MedPro Healthcare Allied Staffing is seeking a travel CT Technologist for a 13-week contract in Middlebury, Vermont. The position requires 40 hours per week with 8-hour shifts covering days, evenings, and nights. MedPro Healthcare Staffing, a Joint Commission-certified staffing agency, is placing a quality CT Tech with one of our top healthcare clients.
Requirements
- Eighteen months prior experience in a health care setting as a CT Tech
- ARRT (CT) or ASRT certification
- State licensure as required
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
Responsibilities
- Operate CT equipment to produce cross-sectional images of patients' bones, organs, and tissue for medical diagnosis
- Position patients for CT scans using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary
- Set equipment controls, monitor equipment and patient, and make adjustments as needed
- Assist radiologist with imaging procedures, start IVs, and inject contrast when applicable
- Dispense oral contrast to patients for CT scans
- Assist radiologist with interventional CT procedures
- Evaluate CT scans for technical quality, collate processed images in sequence of exposure, and label appropriately
- Schedule patients for procedures and assist with clerical functions
- Charge procedures and supplies used to the patient record
- Load and operate power injectors for contrast media administration
- Deliver quality, cost-effective patient care in a professional manner
- Maintain a patient-focused environment of excellence, providing timely, compassionate, quality care
- Promote and maintain a safe work environment incorporating national patient safety initiatives
