Travel CT Technologist - $2,560 per week
Travel CT Technologist position in Charlottesville, Virginia.
About the role
13-week travel assignment starting 08/31/2026. 40 hours per week, 10-hour day shifts (08:00 - 18:30), Thursday through Sunday. No call required. BLS and ARRT certification required. Virginia license required but can submit with it pending. 40 hours of pre-approved time off allowed within a 50-mile radius.
Responsibilities
- Perform CT scans including 3D rendering (Maximum intensity projection, Surface shaded displays, Volume rendering)
- Abdomen without and/or with contrast
- Adult Acute Care, Adult Outpatient
- Aspirations, Biopsies
- Brain perfusion
- Carotid, Cervical, Chest without and/or with contrast
- Colonography or virtual Colonography, Colorectal studies (rectal contrast)
- Coronary CTA
- Emergency Department procedures
- Enterography study
- Head without and/or with contrast
- Heart (e.g., calcium scoring, coronary angiography)
- ICU procedures
- Intravenous pyelogram
- Isolation Precautions/PPE
- Level I and Level II Trauma procedures
- Lumbar, Multiplanar reconstruction (MRP)
- Musculoskeletal trauma
- PACS operation
- Pediatric Acute Care, Pediatric Outpatient
- Pelvis without and/or with contrast
- Preparation and/or administration of contrast media
- Radiation Safety
- Region of interest measurement (ROI)
- Siemens equipment operation
- Sinuses, Soft tissue neck
- Starting Peripheral IV's
- Thoracic, Trauma head
- Vascular chest (e.g., pulmonary embolism, CTA, aorta)
- Vascular CTA, Venipuncture
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience as a CT Technologist
- ARRT CT and ARRT R certifications
- BLS certification
- Virginia state license (can submit with pending license)
- Epic charting system experience (required)
- Experience with Level I Trauma (required) and Level II Trauma (preferred)
- Community Hospital and LTAC experience (preferred)
- Previous travel experience (not required)
- Experience with patient ratios: 17 patients days, 3 patients nights, 4 patients weekends
- Ability to start peripheral IVs
- Experience with pediatric and geriatric patient care
Unit Details
- 681-bed facility
- Patient age groups: Neonates, Adolescents, Infants, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics
- 80 hours of orientation
- Interdisciplinary support: IV Teams, Respiratory Services, Interpretation Services, Radiology, Rapid Response Teams, Transportation
- Float within scope of practice as needed
- 50-mile radius rule applies (locals not accepted for this unit)
- Travelers cannot exceed 365 total assignment days
- Up to 16 non-billable orientation hours; additional time is billable
Pay
- Base bill rate: $93/hour
- Overtime: $48/hour
- Charge Nurse differential: $3/hour
- On Call: $5/hour
- Call Back Multiplier: 1x
- Holiday pay: $10/hour
- 16 hours non-billable orientation
