Key Responsibilities
- Patient Preparation and Communication: Prepare patients for CT scans, verify patient information, instruct on holding breath, ensure patient comfort.
- Operation of CT Equipment: Operate and calibrate CT scanner, administer contrast agents, monitor equipment during imaging.
- Image Quality and Review: Review CT images, work with radiologists, repeat or adjust scans as necessary.
- Patient Safety and Comfort: Follow safety protocols, maintain sterile environment, ensure proper patient positioning.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work with physicians, radiologists, nurses, discuss patient care planning, document patient information.
- Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting: Maintain and troubleshoot CT scanner equipment, keep logs.
- Radiation Safety and Compliance: Follow radiation safety protocols, ensure compliance with regulations.
- Documentation and Record Keeping: Accurately document imaging procedures, patient information, adverse events.
- Patient Education and Support: Provide education, address patient concerns, maintain patient privacy.
Qualifications
- Current state license as a CT Technologist.
- Experience with CT scanning and related procedures.
- Knowledge of radiation safety and patient protection protocols.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
