Responsibilities
- Scrub in on open-heart procedures, prioritizing cardiac bypass, valve replacements, and robotic lung cases
- Aid with instrument setup, counts, and instrument turnover; manage intraoperative equipment
- Provide support for general OR cases as needed when CVOR cases are not active
- Maintain strict sterile technique and contribute to patient safety and workflow efficiency
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia, and OR staff to ensure smooth case progression
Requirements
- Experience scrubbing cardiac bypass, valve replacements, and robotic lung cases within a CVOR
- Willingness to scrub general OR cases as needed
- Availability for approximately 10 call days per month with a 30-minute call response time
- Ability to work effectively in a hospital OR CVOR environment as part of an open-heart team
- Travel assignment readiness and flexibility for 5x8 day shifts
