Travel Cardiovascular Step-Down RN - $2,301 per week

About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Critical Care Unit will provide high-quality nursing care to patients with various critical conditions including, but not limited to, bradycardia, atrial fibrillation, heart failure, and post-operative cases. You will work collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals, ensuring the highest standard of care and safety for all patients.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients’ conditions, responding to changes appropriately.
• Administer medications and treatments as per physician orders.
• Titrade IV drips per ordered parameters, including Cardizem, amiodarone, and heparin.
• Utilize Epicardial pacing and manage chest tubes as needed.
• Document all assessments and interventions accurately in Allscripts.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members.
• Participate in shift handoffs, providing a comprehensive report on patient status.

Requirements

• Current RN license in the state of practice.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required.
• Experience with Epicardial pacing and managing chest tubes is preferred.
• Ability to read telemetry strips is recommended but not mandatory; interpretation is completed by techs.

Pay

The Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36.0 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
