Travel Cardiovascular ICU Registered Nurse - $2,475 per week

Job Summary

The ICU Cardiovascular (ICU OH) specialty position is located in Morgantown, West Virginia. This role involves providing specialized critical care to patients with cardiac, vascular, and thoracic conditions, including those undergoing ECMO, LVAD, and heart transplant procedures. The position requires experienced nurses to deliver comprehensive care in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment during night shifts.

Schedule

• 12-hour night shifts, with weekends and holidays as scheduled
• Minimum of 36 hours per week

Required Qualifications

• Valid ACLS and BLS certifications
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in cardiovascular intensive care units
• Licensed to practice; willing to wait for license activation

Preferred Qualifications

• CCRN certification
• Experience with CRRT and managing critical care drips including inotropes and sedation

Additional Unit Information

• Float rotation may be required between ICU and stepdown units according to unit needs
• Unit has 28 beds with ratios of 1:2 or 1:1 depending on patient needs
• Common diagnoses include cardiac, vascular, and thoracic surgeries, with complex patient conditions such as ECMO, LVAD, and heart transplants
• Nurses are required to recognize ECG rhythm changes and manage critical drips, including titratable medications
• The ICU is staffed with intensivists, advanced practice providers, and ensures 24/7 respiratory therapy support
• Telemetry and ECG reading skills are essential for nurses on this unit
• Orientation consists of 1 week specific to unit protocols and procedures
