About the role
Access Healthcare is seeking a travel nurse RN for a Burn ICU position in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Responsibilities
- Nursing care ratios 1:2 for critical care patients
- 1:1 nursing care support for burn trauma code 1 admissions and high acuity and post-operative patients
- Invasive hemodynamic monitoring (At least Q 1 hr)
- IV drip titration
- Nurse-driven burn fluid resuscitation following Parkland formula
- Ventilator management
- CVVH
- Q 1 h pulse and flap doppler checks
- Initial debridement and dressing changes
- Conscious sedation
- Surgical recovery
- Epidural pumps
Requirements
Adult and pediatric burn trauma surgical ICU RN. Primary RN Care model.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN)
- Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in at least one state
- Current BLS certification
- Experience in burn ICU preferred

- Excellent communication skills
- Strong clinical judgment
- Ability to manage complex patient care situations
Benefits
Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
