About the role
Adult and pediatric burn trauma surgical ICU RN. Primary RN Care model. Nursing care ratios 1:2 for critical care patients. 1:1 nursing care support for burn trauma code 1 admissions and high acuity and post-operative patients. Needs include invasive hemodynamic monitoring (At least Q 1 hr), IV drip titration, nurse driven burn fluid resuscitation following Parkland formula, ventilator management, CVVH, Q 1 h pulse and flap doppler checks, initial debridement and dressing changes, conscious sedation, surgical recovery, epidural pumps.
Responsibilities
- Nursing care ratios 1:2 for critical care patients.
- 1:1 nursing care support for burn trauma code 1 admissions and high acuity and post-operative patients.
- Invasive hemodynamic monitoring (At least Q 1 hr).
- IV drip titration.
- Nurse driven burn fluid resuscitation following Parkland formula.
- Ventilator management.
- CVVH.
- Q 1 h pulse and flap doppler checks.
- Initial debridement and dressing changes.
- Conscious sedation.
- Surgical recovery.
- Epidural pumps.
Requirements
Travel nurse RN Burn ICU.
Qualifications
- Current licensure to practice as a registered nurse in at least one state.
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN).
- Current BLS certification.

- Experience with burn trauma care.

Pay
Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
Schedule
12 hours, nights.
