About the role
The Travel Analyst coordinates and makes travel and lodging arrangements for Field Safety Specialists under the assigned project. Responsibilities include evaluating flight travel time, selecting the most efficient and cost-effective travel options to minimize staff travel time, and handling flight bookings, itineraries, car rentals, and travel requests in the company’s scheduling system.
Responsibilities
- Receive and review case work orders and confirm date and time of visit with Sponsor to schedule site visits.
- Coordinate travel for Field Safety Specialists once site visits are confirmed with the Sponsor, ensuring all arrangements comply with requirements and company procedures.
- Schedule and confirm Field Safety Specialist travel within 24 hours after receiving confirmation of site visit.
- Work closely with the corporate travel contractor to book flights, lodging, and ground transportation.
- Enter travel requests into the company’s Scheduling System and create work orders for each order.
- Work with supervisory management and elevate concerns as needed.
- Communicate travel requirements to Field Safety Specialists.
- Confirm bookings with each Field Safety Specialist and appropriate parties.
- Provide Field Safety Specialists with date and time of arrival for each case assigned.
- Assist in changing and/or canceling flights and provide travel-related information to Field Safety Specialists.
- Remain aware of travel-related information that may cause delays or prevent flight connections and communicate this to Field Safety Specialists en route.
- Make last-minute travel arrangements or cancellations due to inclement weather or other travel emergencies.
- Ensure accurate transportation itinerary information is available to employees and appropriate parties.
- Answer phones and return phone calls in a timely manner.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Possess an associate degree in an appropriate discipline from an accredited college (a high school diploma with an extra two or more years of relevant experience may be substituted for an associate degree).
- At least two years of documented experience in a field related to security, law, social work, detention, corrections, or a similar occupational area. Certification, licensure, and credentials applicable to professional accreditation of the position (a minimum of four years of experience is required when substituting a high school diploma with two or more years of relevant experience for an associate degree).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience applicable to the goals and objectives of the program sufficient to communicate with other staff and appropriate for a similar program environment.
- Strong computer skills in MS Office, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Willingness to learn internal company systems (Saturn, Mercury, etc.).
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with different departments, employees, and clients.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish (preferred).
- Ability to take technical direction and feedback from various sources.
- Commitment to providing outstanding customer service and professional representation of MVM.
- Ability to prioritize work, meet stringent deadlines, balance multiple tasks, and work in a team environment.

- Ability to deliver high-quality work under extreme pressure.

- Ability to work a rotating shift, overnight, holidays, and weekends to support a 24/7 operation.
Schedule
This position is mission critical and essential to ongoing operations, requiring a flexible schedule to support a 24/7/365-day operation.
Security Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Ability to obtain/maintain a Security Clearance.
- Favorable credit check.
- Successfully pass a background investigation and drug screen.
- May be required to pass or present specific requirements depending on the position (e.g., DOT exam, vaccinations, CPR, flu shot).
Physical Requirements
- Standing/Walking/Mobility: Must have mobility to attend meetings with other managers and employees.
- Climbing/Stooping/Kneeling: 0% - 10% of the time.
- Lifting/Pulling/Pushing: 0% - 10% of the time; must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Fine Motor Skills/Dexterity: Must be able to write, type, and use a telephone system 100% of the time.
