Registered Nurse - Endoscopy (Endo RN)

The Endoscopy Registered Nurse (Endo RN) applies nursing theory, technical skills, and communication skills to deliver high-quality compassionate care to patients and families. Responsibilities include assessing patient needs, developing collaborative plans of care, providing direct patient care, and coordinating care delivery throughout the patient's episode.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient and family needs through active listening and observing reactions
• Develop individualized, culturally-relevant care plans in collaboration with the interdisciplinary team
• Set goals, monitor patient progress, and adjust care plans based on patient response
• Advocate for and protect patient health, safety, and rights
• Educate patients/families on post-hospitalization care, ensuring understanding of self-care practices
• Document nursing care and patient responses to education provided
• Engage in self-evaluation and professional development to enhance nursing practice

Requirements

• NYS RN Licensure (Required)
• One (1) year of experience serving in an Endo environment as a Registered Nurse (Required)
• Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS (Required)
