Trauma Surgeon - Locum Tenens

About the role

This position is for a Board-Certified Trauma Surgeon in a Level 1 trauma center, providing in-house call coverage across clinic, OR, and ER settings.

Responsibilities

• Respond immediately to trauma activations and surgical cases during assigned call periods
• Manage a high-volume trauma patient load across all ages
• Deliver comprehensive trauma care in a high-acuity environment
• Provide on-site coverage in a hospital with established trauma protocols and staffing

Requirements

• Board certification in trauma surgery or general surgery with trauma experience
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume trauma setting
• Strong response and surgical skills in emergency situations
• Willingness to provide in-house call coverage

• Case load varies; patient population includes all ages
• Position is on-site at a Level 1 trauma hospital
• This is a locum position to support existing trauma services
