About the role

Seeking a trauma surgeon for inpatient coverage at a 465-bed Level 1 Trauma Center. The role involves providing 24-hour in-house call coverage, responding to trauma activations, and managing acute surgical cases across all ages. Support staff includes Nurse Practitioners (NP) and Physician Assistants (PA) to assist with clinical operations.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24-hour in-house call coverage
• Respond promptly to trauma activations
• Maintain on-site availability during calls
• Manage acute surgical cases for patients of all ages
• Deliver specialized trauma and emergency surgical care
• Coordinate within a multidisciplinary team
• Adhere to established clinical protocols
• Participate in rotating call schedules to ensure continuous patient care

Requirements

• Board certification in trauma surgery
• Relevant trauma surgery experience
• Commitment to providing high-quality emergency care in a dynamic, high-acuity environment
